Again on the way back our journey was exhausting… four days of traveling to find out our last train home was cancelled! And our train prior to that was 4 hours late. There was major flooding and several roads were blocked. Gd worked it all out though we were able to get a ride back from someone else, who know alternative routes. It was totally Gd that orchestrated our whole trip back. We had several run-in’s that were quite an experience! First off… we had two cars, one of which was borrowed and was only 2 months old. Well that car was having all sorts of trouble. Let me tell you the fast version of the whole adventure: First off they got lost, hit a man pedaling a fruit cart, dented the car big time, man and fruit went flying, paid him 600 rupees, drove off, found our tire was punctured, changed the tire, car almost drowned in a huge puddle, got attacked by an angry Sikh mob, door was kicked in adding to the already big dent, got in several traffic jams, got caked in mud, and finished the ride off with a car wash under a wonderful waterfall alongside the mountain. All of which should have taken less than 9 hours, and ended up being a 14 hour car ride. I love India! :D I thought it was a really fun adventure (I was the only one that thought so) ! Through it all, we all got back safely, maybe a little exhausted, but safe… minus the 2 month old borrowed car. Eeks! Haha! This is a normal travel experience in India I think. Ha! It was a great experience for all of us to remind ourselves to rely on Gd during our travels. He provided! And he continues to provide! Thanks for your pryers!
Here is a pic of how far we traveled:
